EG-CI pilot

EG-CI (ELIXIR-GREECE Cloud Infrastructure) is the computational infrastructure that supports a broad spectrum of bioinformatic services provided by the Greek node. The pilot version is hosted on a computational cluster of ~10 nodes while, within 2020 this will be extended to a heterogeneous Cloud containing ~50 computational nodes of different capabilities (regular servers, GPU-enabled servers, SSD-enabled servers, etc). EG-CI users have the option to either create custom VMs to host their computational services or to upload and execute workflows of containerised scientific software packages.

The pilot version of the EG-CI can be found at https://egci-beta.imsi.athenarc.gr.
