ELIXIR-GR is the Greek National Node of the ESFRI European RI ELIXIR, a distributed infrastructure that will allow the life science research community across Europe to share and store their research data as part of an organised network. Its goal is to bring together Europe’s laboratories and data centres to help coordinate the collection, quality control and storage of large amounts of biological data produced by life science experiments.

ELIXIR-GR offers a collection of unique tools and databases that focuses primarily on biomedical research and marine biology are provided and will be continually expanded. Training is offered to all stakeholders in the form of hands­-on workshops and web­-based training courses.

ELIXIR-GR has recently secured funding from EU Structural and Investment Funds for supporting a number of selected Research Infrastructures of the Greek National Roadmap.
